Kirin at Starlight Wedding: Ivone and Philip
November 3, 2008We’re excited to post this wedding because it’s our first wedding at the Kirin at Starlight restaurant, and I know we’ve had a number of couples who have booked this place next year or are interested in this venue. Ivone and Philip were on a bit of a wedding tour, and Vancouver was their first stop (followed by Hong Kong and Malaysia).
Their joyous and emotional ceremony was held at the Peace Mennonite Church in Richmond.
A lengthy ceremony gave us a lot of time to find all the right angles!

If you are having an off season wedding and are a little worried about the Vancouver weather, we highly recommend booking a place like Kirin restaurant, because on a rainy day, we could easily do a whole shoot inside this place and probably never run out of ideas. There was eye candy everywhere! Luckily the weather was fine for Ivone and Philip, so we didn’t have a photo shoot at Kirin- but because the decor was so cool, here are two “hey stop!” moments where I knew we had to grab a quick one for them because it was just so darn awesome looking:
