I have been blown away this year by being able to photograph some amazingly styled weddings- many of them being DIY. I have also been seeing fewer black suits and more brown and grey suits, which is always refreshing. Helen is one of my rare brides who is also a twitter user, so i knew right away that there was something different about her
I LOVED her very unique vision for her wedding day– it was just so THEM! From her polaroid guestbook tree to their color coordinated candy bar station, and the bridesmaid’s bright yellow shoes to the groomsmen’s paper boutonnières, there were so many little details everywhere. I can’t forget her edible centrepieces either (yellow petunia, bacopa and lemon thyme– guests could season their food with herbs from their centrepiece!). My favorite detail (and a first for me) was the bubble tea station at their wedding reception-YES!!!!! score! I have been a bubble tea addict for about 10 years now- “bubble tea” was the first thing I learned to say in Chinese when I was living in Taiwan years ago. : )
Good things come in pairs so here’s one more Diamond Alumni Centre wedding!!! Congrats Helen and Trevor!
