Yes, she was definitely just making it all up!

Carmen and Rhys were married December 29 in Victoria on Vancouver Island. We loved having a wedding between Christmas and New Years- it filled that awkward gap between the two holidays and it was so nice to feel the energy of all the guests still in holiday spirit. It was an awesome day- lots of entertainment during the reception and some major dancing afterwards. And we were thrilled to see the guests having a fun time with our new crazy photobooth (more details on that later this week!).
Carmen and Rhys, congrats! We hope you enjoy your sneak preview.
The very elegant gown, captured earlier in the day before the reception. Two words: Red Wine.

We loved playing with the ceiling for the ceremony photos:

Soon after the ceremony, we drove to the English Inn for photos. It was a race against time because of the disappearing light and the incoming storm. But the photo ops were plentiful here, as was the kissing!

Thanks for playing along with us on this one. A bit strange for a wedding photo, I know. But really, did you think I could just walk past this and not do something with it?

Reception time!

And the cake was good too!

Proof that a little–or possibly a lot– of red wine down the dress will NOT effect your awesome day (you can’t even see it!):
