Charisa and Stewart’s Winter Wonderland Wedding

January 12, 2009

I wanted to make sure I posted this wedding preview before all our beautiful snow melts away!  Charisa and Stewart were married on a Friday morning at Willingdon church.  Having the pre-Christmas energy made the day even more special, and we were so lucky that their wedding day was held on the most amazing and calm December day, perfectly pancaked between two major snow storms.

Prep time was a total girlfest, with a big room upstairs full of 15 or so women all getting their hair and makeup done.  It was a blast!wedding survival handbook

Charisa’s flowergirl was a perfect little princess- she LOVED being part of the wedding and doted on Charisa all day!flower girl

The ceremony was held in the Chapel downstairs, with instrumental Radiohead by Christopher O’Riley as the prelude music (it was amazing and highly recommended if you are considering non-traditional pre-wedding music!):ceremony candle

I can definitely feel the energy here, as this was taken about 1 second before they kissed!ceremony kiss

We took this right in front of the Willingdon church before heading over to Deer Lake Park for some winter wonderland shots.

My feet are getting cold just looking at these next few images!  We had amazing light for Charisa and Stewart’s wedding.. I was at Deer Lake Park the day before to check to see if it was walkable in the snow, and it was very dull and gloomy, completely different from this amazing scene!

Towards the end of the afternoon, the orange sun shone through the windows in full force. Nothing like a little romantic gymnasium lighting! : )

Congratulations to Charisa and Stewart!  Thank you for being such an enjoyable couple to spend the day with.  I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!

Michelle Ellis: So lovely! The boots! Ahhh love it(:

Charisa: Leslie, I seriously can't express how happy I am with the photos! They are AMAZING! Thank you SO much!

Keri Travis: The boots in snow picture is so cute!

Heather: Les, i pretty much feel like crap every time I look at your photos, cause they are SOOOO ggooooood. I SO regret the photographer we got for our wedding, i'm sure i've told you before but....*sigh*. If only life had do-overs. Learn from my mistake, people! DON'T skimp on the photographer!!!!

sherry: les, as per usual your pictures blow me away. the lighting, the way you capture the moments, EVERYTHING!! you are an amazing photographer!

allan: The scene maybe cold and freezing but I'm guessing the wedding party was warm because of the energy that you portray... and it shows in all the photos. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall... Leslie will shoot 'em all... sorry, that was cheesy :)
