Pemberton Festival - The Sunday Edition

We hit up the Pemberton Festival for Sunday’s lineup of Vampire Weekend, N.E.R.D., Deathcab for Cutie, Jay-Z, and Coldplay. It was a great experience, and we were very lucky that we didn’t have to deal with the same problems that Friday’s crowd had to deal with (several hours to park and check in). We left Vancouver at 8:30 am and had no problems at all- it was my first time to Pemberton (and actually my first time driving past Whistler, oddly enough). It did take us almost 2 hours to drive 20m out of the parking lot at the end of the night, but that wasn’t a surprise. : )

In case you missed it, we are putting our diamonds in the sky for Jay Z, though it appears we missed the boat for this photo because no one else was doing it anymore. We are nerds, in case you missed that too.

Some highlights of the festival were the Kelly O’Brien’s Pacho truck, managing to avoid the outhouses the entire time (!), seeing Vampire Weekend, sweet weather, and napping in the crowds during N.E.R.D.

After traveling for so long a few years ago and taking our token photos in front of important things, Mark and I have gotten used to and grown quite fond of bad photos of ourselves like this:

I am totally posting random pictures out of order– what has gotten into me?? This was taken in the morning when we arrived:

I know this is Pemberton’s first year and all, so some things were overlooked and they will learn from those mistakes for next year, but how could Dr Waffle run out of waffles for the whole day??!

Until next year!
