Best Part of a Wedding Day: the Recessional

My absolute favourite events of a wedding day are those moments just after a couple has gotten married– there are so many things going through their minds (couples: can you remember what was going through your mind at this time?!!), such a feeling of relief (you made it through the ceremony without passing out!!), and excitement for what’s to come. I LOVE that our couples let their emotions shine at this time (thank you for your amazingness!), so I felt it’s time to round up some of those moments from the past and share a few of them.

This is the moment I am waiting for on a wedding day.

Law Courts Inn Wedding: Kim and Matt

Kim and Matt had a jam packed wedding day with a ceremony at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, photos all around town (including the beautiful Hycroft Mansion), and a big reception at the Law Courts Inn. I loved how we barely squeaked through the day without getting hit by Vancouver’s lovely rain- we were so lucky! Congratulations Kim and Matt on a fab wedding day! Kirin Starlight Wedding: Elaine and Chester

Our last wedding of 2011 was wonderful!

It was the last wedding of 2011 for us, and ended our year of weddings perfectly. Elaine and Chester were prepared for the worst in terms of weather on their wedding day, but we were treated with nothing but golden sun until the early winter sunset! Their ceremony was held at Aberthau Mansion in Point Grey, and reception was held at the always awesome Kirin at Starlight restaurant. Thanks Elaine for being a sport in the cold, and congratulations to both of you!
