Xin Nian Kuai Le!

We had a gigantic dinner with our close friends to celebrate Chinese New Year. Mark and I are big fans of CNY, and tend to celebrate it more than the Jan 1 New Year. Even if you don’t enjoy the food, you can still enjoy Chinese New Year by using it as an excuse not to clean because it’s bad luck to sweep on New Year’s Day (you’re supposed to have your place all cleaned out before). And even though today is not New Year’s Day, you can still carry on the no-cleaning excuse and say Chinese New Year runs all week :) The parade in Vancouver’s Chinatown is tomorrow at 10am (more info)- great shooting opportunities there for photographers (I’d be there but we have two shoots scheduled for tomorrow).

Happy New Year!
