San Diego, Mexico, and the Kaisers
We are back in Vancouver now- what’s with the snow?? I flew home on the plane wearing shorts with my fingers crossed, but obviously that counted for nothing because it’s still freezing here. We spent the second week of our trip in Southern California, spending a few days in San Diego, a few days in Rosarito, Mexico, and the last few days in Oceanside.
Some highlights from our time:
We had a little R&R in San Diego, one highlight was a self-serve ice cream bar we came across that had 60+ toppings. I tried bits of everything on the ice cream, but even after all that the verdict is that nothing beats a simple Oreo in ice cream (runner up was the Kit Kat):

Mexico was a bit of a bomb for us because it was during spring break (Think: “girls gone wild” along the entire beach). But we still had nice moments sleeping by the pool, sipping margaritas in the jacuzzi, and sweet sunsets.

Three in a row in Tijuana:

And then to a workshop put on by my heroes, Nate and Jaclyn Kaiser, from The Image is Found. They were awesome… so funny and truthful about everything. They are amazing photographers and I am so grateful that they are willing to open their doors to other photographers. Thank you!

And now wedding season has begun!

There were so many people from the westcoast (Seattle area) that they could definitely bring it up here and lots of people will come. I think family is their priority right now. but, for their san diego workshops, the fee is $200 lower for out of towners than it is for so-cal area attendees, so in a way, you save $200, which is a large portion of your flight price to san diego anyway

I might have to take that workshop again, afterwards I have a ton of questions already.
