Sakura Season
The cherry blossoms are on their way. I saw them everywhere in San Francisco, but Sunday was our first sighting of Sakura blooming in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 25-April 20, Sakura Day is April 3, and there’s even a mini photo workshop on photographing cherry blossom trees. The Burrard skytrain station has an amazing canopy of cherry blossom trees, which I hope to hit up sometime for a quick shoot when the trees are in their prime.

And in the spirit of the season, here’s a photo from 2005 in Taiwan on our trip to a place called Alishan:
‘Tis the season to be twitterpated!

Those are beautiful! And now I know what your website name means!
I love cherry blossoms, we always had cherry blossoms on our street growing up! I loved it when the blossoms fell from the trees like pink rain!

I love Sakura! We didn’t have them in the Philippines but I remember seeing them for the first time in Japan in 1998! Glorious! I’m always excited to see them come around here in Vancouver in the Spring.
Have fun in Vegas! Don’t party too hard!
