We were fortunate to be able to come to Victoria early to hold an engagement portrait session downtown with Carmen and Rhys a day before they got married! Victoria had a lot of great places for photos, but since it was very cold, rainy, and windy, we kept ourselves limited to the downtown area between Market Square and Victoria’s tiny Chinatown.

I found it amusing to be faced with a completely opposite situation to what we’re used to with photoshoots- often the male needs a little– ahem– encouragement when it comes to feeling comfortable kissing and snuggling in front of the camera- but this time Rhys was the man with all the ideas for showing love in front of the camera, while Carmen was worried that she wouldn’t know how to pose. We made sure they felt comfortable and soon enough they were both superstars!
