Hycroft Mansion Wedding: Sharon and PaoloSeptember 20th, 2010 | Full PostI’m still drooling over all the beautiful weddings we’ve photographed this summer, and I was particularly fond of this July weekend, in which we were lucky enough to photograph two Hycroft weddings! Hycroft is definitely one of the more beautiful spots in Vancouver to get married, and it gets even better when the reception is held there as well.

Paolo and Sharon are the sweetest couple and they had a beautiful ceremony and reception, complete with live band and a great solo performance by Paolo covering Eminem- it was amazing! Congrats Paolo and Sharon!

PhotoboothSeptember 13th, 2010 | Full PostWe’ve been providing our photobooth service to weddings since 2007, and have seen it all- from shirts being ripped off, to kisses between strangers, to a good old fashioned mooning, but this is the first time we’ve had a couple bring such an awesome backdrop like this! Hayley’s brother made this for Hayley and Lawrence’s wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Thanks for bringing the awesome!

The day started off perfectly with the gals getting ready at the house and the guys downtown and ended perfectly with dancing and fireworks across the bay. I LOVED their wedding tent they chose with a skylight- it was perfect! Congrats Ban and Tam!

Diamond Alumni Centre Wedding: Helen and TrevorSeptember 10th, 2010 | Full Post
I have been blown away this year by being able to photograph some amazingly styled weddings- many of them being DIY. I have also been seeing fewer black suits and more brown and grey suits, which is always refreshing. Helen is one of my rare brides who is also a twitter user, so i knew right away that there was something different about her Good things come in pairs so here’s one more Diamond Alumni Centre wedding!!! Congrats Helen and Trevor!

I LOVED her very unique vision for her wedding day– it was just so THEM! From her polaroid guestbook tree to their color coordinated candy bar station, and the bridesmaid’s bright yellow shoes to the groomsmen’s paper boutonnières, there were so many little details everywhere. I can’t forget her edible centrepieces either (yellow petunia, bacopa and lemon thyme– guests could season their food with herbs from their centrepiece!). My favorite detail (and a first for me) was the bubble tea station at their wedding reception-YES!!!!! score! I have been a bubble tea addict for about 10 years now- “bubble tea” was the first thing I learned to say in Chinese when I was living in Taiwan years ago. : )
Good things come in pairs so here’s one more Diamond Alumni Centre wedding!!! Congrats Helen and Trevor!

Diamond Club Wedding: Emily and MarkSeptember 7th, 2010 | Full PostCongrats to the super sweet Emily and Mark! Emily is a history gal, so they were married in front of a 100+ year old mill at Barnet Marine Park- I am always so happy to shoot somewhere new and interesting so thank you Emily and Mark for thinking outside the box! Definitely no need for a ceremony arch here, they had the best one in town! I had my cute Stephanie Koo (remember her wedding?) along to second shoot, and she and I were greeted by the guys in their boxers, always a treat! Trudy and Jeff from ’08 were there too! Emily and Mark’s reception followed at the Diamond Club at SFU, I always love the seclusion there! Congrats Emily+Mark!!
