What a day of perfection!  Lisa and Jon had an action packed wedding day that Mark and I were so happy to be a part of.  This was our first Jewish wedding we have photographed, and we were like kids in a candy store when it was time to photograph the hora : ) -I don’t think we’ve ever gotten so sweaty from photographing dancing as we did for Lisa and Jon’s hora!  Congrats Lisa and Jon!

Mark and I were very excited to recently be a GUEST at the wedding of our friends Susan and Josh!!!  Thing is, there was no official photographer either, so….. we brought our cameras and casually shot at times, putting emphasis on their beautiful ceremony.  I was shooting in a dress so that was a good excuse to take it easy!

I must say that it was a nice change to shoot a wedding with absolutely no obligations or pressure.  Heck, I don’t even have to worry about whether or not they like these images! ; ) Congrats to Susan, Josh, and their sweet baby Grace!  We wish you the best!

Susan took DIY to a whole new level by decorating and putting together her wedding cake in the middle of her wedding day.  Not something I’d recommend to a bride to do on her wedding day, but if you know Susan, you’ll know that this is how Susan rolls when she makes cakes : )  She made Mark and I’s wedding cake in 2007 as well!

This was the best vintage-turquoise+red-mustaches-tattoos-live-band-cocktail-brewery-diy wedding that’s ever hit Vancouver!  Kathryn and Andy’s wedding ceremony was held at Ron Basford Park on Granville Island, with the cocktail reception just a short stroll away at the Granville Island Brewery.

Congrats Kathryn+Andy!  Thanks for having me solo shoot your wedding!

I am so excited to share this wedding with you all!  I photographed a wedding photographer’s wedding!….  something I had no intention or interest in doing before I met Steph and Jeff ; )

We have a bit of a history together, as Steph has shot for me on several occasions when Mark was not available to shoot alongside me.  She’s a wonderful gal, with an extremely artistic eye that continues to amaze me.  I was fairly nervous for shooting their wedding day, but the truth is that on the day of the wedding, I quickly and easily forgot that Steph and Jeff are also photographers, which allowed me to clearly concentrate on just one thing- shooting their wedding!  Here goes!!

Congrats to the sweetest wedding photographers– Steph and Jeff! (<— Check their work!)  We’re excited for your future!!!!!!

So much energy coming from these two, it just pops right out of the photos!  I can’t wait for their wedding day!

Allison and Thomas’ wedding ceremony was held at the gorgeous Danish Lutheran Church of Vancouver with their reception following at Westwood Plateau (this was a downstairs wedding at WW Plateau, and it was great there!). There were so many personal touches at Allison and Thomas’ wedding and Thomas put his mad design skills to work for all their wedding print, and check out the surprise ’something blue’ that Thomas left on the bottom of Allison’s shoes!  Guys, take note!

Though it might seem odd to assign a number to a bride, Lisa is self-proclaimed “bride #6″ amongst a fun+fab group of friends who gave me the honor of photographing their wedding.  I am so lucky, I love photographing this gang!  Complete trust is what I always want, and that is surely what I got at Lisa and David’s sweet little “upstairs” Brock House wedding!
