Westwood Plateau Wedding: Katrina and Terence

1. Katrina and Terence had quite a grand exit from their wedding- in an ambulance!  It was past 1am, so unfortunately we had already gone home for the night (so we couldn’t paparazzi it), but once Katrina stopped responding to pain, it was time to call the ambulance!  She’s better now of course and apparently it’s ok that people know about their ambulance trip so I can blog about it : ) and we love her for her grand exit!  Even more to this story is that they missed out on their pre-paid limo and hotel room that night, and instead took an ambulance and a night at the hospital!  If you can plan something like that ahead of time, you’d save some money on your transportation and hotel costs : )  Ok sorry enough joking!  Just to explain the situation a bit- they moved to the UK shortly after their wedding and will miss their friends and family very, very much!  Katrina knew the tears would come, and she had a blast all day long and all through the night until about 11pm when she broke down.  So all in all, K+T had a wonderful day!
2. Just a heads up to any photographers shooting at Our Lady of Fatima in Coquitlam—although this beautiful catholic church is quite photographer-friendly, the couple’s first kiss as husband+wife always seems to happen without any buildup or warning!  I think this will cause a heart attack for a photographer one day : P  They even do it before the rings are exchanged, about 1/3 of the way through the ceremony.  I have photographed here twice before, and each time i just have to stay pretty much planted at a good vantage point until the !SURPRISE!! kiss happens.  Then I can go get the other fun angles : )  I have never seen this at any other catholic church.
3. Special thanks to Katrina’s brother Vince, for lovingly preparing paninis for us ladies before heading out to golf with the boys!  What a guy!
4. Katrina caught her own garter on Terence’s first throw : )
5. I have never cried so much at a wedding- I kept my camera in front of my face the whole night… we all miss Terence and Katrina (our little firecracker), but know that they are going to love living in the UK!

oh yes! I almost forgot, the pictures!

Hart House Wedding: Angela and Rick

1. Rick kept his point+shoot camera with him on his wedding day and kept taking photos of everything – competition!- I knew I had to make sure our images would knock his socks off or else I’d be in trouble ; )
2. These two have the coolest and tightest group of friends- after their wedding, Angela and Rick + 20 or so of their friends, went to Hawaii!  Sounds like a sweet honeymoon to me!  (actually they are going on a real honeymoon soon… this was just a warm up)
3. I loved everything about their wedding day- everything from a nice limo driver, to a sweet hotel for prep, to a free+easy overcast day, to mega dancing, to getting the posed photos taken earlier in the day, to not starting their day *too* early, to a magnificent Hart House ceremony- so many great things in 12 hours!

love the makeup, socks and ring shots!

Angela

Sakura, you guys are awesome. I love the pictures so far … can’t wait to see the rest!! You two definitely know what you’re doing.

Olga - Dott Photography

Leslie, amazing as always! About the ring shot: Perfect Sharpness, the diamond looks like it just jumped out of the jewelry print commercial! Love it!

Susan Solo

Awesome to the nth degree. (I’m being cheesy, I know, but I mean it!) And there’s something about the way you took that first photo that makes it look like miniatures! Love all your beautiful portraits and detail shots.

Starlight Kirin Wedding: Judy and Mike

1. Judy is made of 100% smiles
2. The guys were so caring, gentlemanly and polite- I actually felt a little sorry for them when they showed up at Judy’s parent’s home and had bubbles and tutus awaiting them on the doorstep : )
3. Judy and Mike’s wedding day was eeeppppiiiiiicc,  and was finished off with a traditional family portrait session…. at midnight!  omg!  Limo naps and red rain power drinks helped the gang get through the day and still have a blast.
4. Ok sure a lot of weddings are epic… but really this one was one step above that!

Jacky Chui

These photos turned out so vibrant and beautiful!
Both Leslie and Mark worked so efficiently during this wedding (even with Leslie’s pounding headache!).

As a result of their hard work and passion, they captured some of the best and most honest moments that we will always cherish.

Great job guys!

- Jacky (Judy’s brother)

Leslie

Thanks Jacky- wow that was nice! One of the gals had some advil for me that got rid of it quickly that night! : )

Beth

Another great wedding! You guys rock!

Amber and Sheldon

1. Amber and Sheldon’s wedding ceremony was held on a beautiful property in … Dewdney, BC!  !!   !
2. Check out Sheldon’s hair as they are coming down the aisle together!
3. Amber’s wedding shoes were her feet!  Though she did have a cute pair of brown wedding shoes, i saw her in her barefeet more : ) Even in the heavy forest area that you’ll see later in the pics– everyone was in bare feet for that!   Those Dewdney folk are amazing!
