Westwood Plateau Wedding: Katrina and Terence
September 28, 20091. Katrina and Terence had quite a grand exit from their wedding- in an ambulance! It was past 1am, so unfortunately we had already gone home for the night (so we couldn’t paparazzi it), but once Katrina stopped responding to pain, it was time to call the ambulance! She’s better now of course and apparently it’s ok that people know about their ambulance trip so I can blog about it : ) and we love her for her grand exit! Even more to this story is that they missed out on their pre-paid limo and hotel room that night, and instead took an ambulance and a night at the hospital! If you can plan something like that ahead of time, you’d save some money on your transportation and hotel costs : ) Ok sorry enough joking! Just to explain the situation a bit- they moved to the UK shortly after their wedding and will miss their friends and family very, very much! Katrina knew the tears would come, and she had a blast all day long and all through the night until about 11pm when she broke down. So all in all, K+T had a wonderful day!
2. Just a heads up to any photographers shooting at Our Lady of Fatima in Coquitlam—although this beautiful catholic church is quite photographer-friendly, the couple’s first kiss as husband+wife always seems to happen without any buildup or warning! I think this will cause a heart attack for a photographer one day : P They even do it before the rings are exchanged, about 1/3 of the way through the ceremony. I have photographed here twice before, and each time i just have to stay pretty much planted at a good vantage point until the !SURPRISE!! kiss happens. Then I can go get the other fun angles : ) I have never seen this at any other catholic church.
3. Special thanks to Katrina’s brother Vince, for lovingly preparing paninis for us ladies before heading out to golf with the boys! What a guy!
4. Katrina caught her own garter on Terence’s first throw : )
5. I have never cried so much at a wedding- I kept my camera in front of my face the whole night… we all miss Terence and Katrina (our little firecracker), but know that they are going to love living in the UK!
oh yes! I almost forgot, the pictures!
