1. Alice rocked the single calla bouquet like nobody’s business- it matched her BCBG dress perfectly!
2. This amazing wedding was all about the wonderful guests, fun and thoughtful details handmade (or grown) by Alice, and good food : )  I was looking forward to this wedding all year when I heard that a potluck would be involved in their day.  mmmmmmmmmmm.  A fun change from regular wedding fare!
3. A rare Aberthau Mansion wedding– weddings here must finish up early in the evening, which is why not many weddings are held here.  But Alice and Ian’s celebration did not stop at Aberthau Mansion, later they headed out for a Karaoke after party  .. I wish I had thought of that for my wedding!

1. Despite the many seagulls circling above the UBC Boathouse during the ceremony, no one got pooed on at Megan and Dorian’s wedding : )
2. Dorian and Megan’s guests knocked our socks off with their creative musical performances during the evening!  So much talent in one room!
3. There wasn’t a square inch of shade outside Richmond’s UBC Boathouse that day.  I was impressed at how this was possible, but it was due to the fact that the shady side of the building drops straight into the water.  Family photos were held along a small chunk of shadow cast by the entrance to the ramp of the Boathouse : )  It was funny, but it worked!

My mom thinks nothing is going on in my life because I haven’t blogged anything recently. That made me laugh… I assure you it’s the complete opposite! : ) Right now we’re working on getting images out to couples so that they can see them! Blogging will come later.. or at random times when I feel the urge… like right now!!

Here are a few images from Tamara and Bann’s engagement session:

1. We’ve had a few weddings recently where the fathers of the bride and the groom hung out together ( with the guys) in the morning, and the mothers of the bride and groom hung out together (with the ladies) as well.  I think this is a great thing to do before the ceremony!
2.  A+++ to the wedding party for their excellence in radness!  So.Great.  And 100 bonus points to the flower girls for all their confidence while coming down the aisle, and 100 bonus points to Barb’s father, who had so much expression while giving her away at the ceremony. : )

This was a big day-  Barb and Adrian have so many good friends to celebrate their day with at Swan-e-set, it was one massive party from start to finish!

1. The Italian Cultural Centre has a capacity of one zillion
2. This was a wedding full of warm fuzzies for Mark and I.  Not only were Lori and Johnny way too nice to us, but there was radness all around.  First of all, their amazing wedding was coordinated by Magna of Catz Marketing / DIY Wedding Resource.  If it weren’t for Magna believing in me years ago and loving my style of photography, I likely would not be a wedding photographer!  Without previously knowing us, she helped us get started and I know we would not be where we are today if it weren’t for her.
3. Another piece of warm fuzzy was the fact that Jake, the videographer of Gish Productions, called us up the day before the wedding to introduce himself and have a chat.  How cool is that?!  I wish I was that nice of a person!  : P   He’s a vegetarian too, which is another win towards my theory of “all vegetarians are nice” : )  They were a blast to work with during the day too!
4. Lori had the most detailed (and heavy) dress I’ve ever seen-the beading was amazing and she wore it with elegance.  It was fun to photograph!
5. The jag was driven by the best man, Jag : )

Together with their caring and fun wedding party, Lori and Johnny enjoyed their day to the max, finishing off the evening with a hoppin’ dance reception with music by live band Avanti!
