Deer Lake Park was the chosen site for Jen and Rod’s engagement session. I admire this area because of its peaceful scenery sandwiched in the middle of a city.

We spent last week in Vegas for the gigantic annual photographer’s convention. It was a busy week, to say the least, but definitely worth the trip. We were able to meet and hear from many inspiring photographers, as well as check out the many companies we need to support our photography company. Sunday’s engagement session with Kristy and Scott was held in the historic area of Steveston- another great spot for a shoot in the Lower Mainland.

The cherry blossoms are on their way. I saw them everywhere in San Francisco, but this was our first sighting of Sakura blooming in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 25-April 20, Sakura Day is April 3, and there’s even a mini photo workshop on photographing cherry blossom trees.
